Terms of sale
These terms apply to holiday pre-orders and catering orders you place and pay for on this website. By paying, you agree to them and to our refund and cancellation policy.
Who you are buying from
Village Baking Co., an independent bakery in Dallas, Texas. You can reach us at (214) 951-9077 or through the contact form.
Orders and prices
- Prices are in US dollars and are the prices shown when you pay.
- Your order is accepted when you receive our confirmation email with an order number starting VB-.
- If we cannot fill an order, for example because an item has sold out or a price was shown in error, we will contact you and refund what we cannot supply.
- Photos show our products as we make them. Hand-made items vary a little from one to the next.
Payment, tax and tips
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Texas sales tax (8.25% in Dallas) is added to taxable items and their share of any delivery fee. Every catering order is taxed. Tax-exempt organizations should send a catering order as a request so we can confirm it without tax once we have the exemption certificate.
- Tips are optional and go to our team.
Pickup and delivery
- Pickup is at the café, day and time you choose at checkout. Please bring your order number.
- Delivery costs $20, arrives before 4 PM on the day you choose, and is available to zip codes within 10 miles of 75247. You are responsible for giving us a correct address and a way in.
- Once your order has been collected or delivered, keep it as we recommend on the box. Items with eggs, cream or meat need refrigeration.
Allergens
Everything is made in a facility that handles wheat, dairy, eggs and tree nuts. We cannot guarantee that any item is free of an allergen. If you have a serious allergy, call us before you order.
Cancellations and refunds
See our refund and cancellation policy.
Our responsibility
If something we sell you is not right, we will replace it or refund what you paid for it. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that arise from an order, such as the cost of an event. Nothing here limits rights you have under Texas law.
The fine print
- These terms are governed by the laws of Texas.
- We may update these terms. The version on this page when you pay is the one that applies to your order.
