Good to know
How far in advance do I need to order?
Forty-eight hours for most orders. Weddings and anything over one hundred people should book one to two weeks out. Call us for anything sooner and we will tell you honestly what the bakehouse can do.
Is there a minimum?
No. There is no minimum for pickup or delivery.
Do you deliver, and what does it cost?
Yes, from 7 AM to 4 PM across Dallas, the Park Cities, Uptown, Oak Cliff, Preston Hollow and the near suburbs. Delivery is $20 on orders up to $300 and 10% of the order above that. Pickup is free at any café.
Is catering taxed?
Yes. Catering orders carry 8.25% Texas sales tax, which applies to the delivery fee too. Tips are not taxed.
We are tax-exempt. How do we order?
Send the order as a request instead of paying online, and tell us in the notes that you are tax-exempt. Shannon will ask for your Texas exemption certificate and confirm the total without tax.
Can you handle dietary restrictions?
We have vegetarian options throughout, and a gluten-free coffee cake muffin. Gluten-free is otherwise limited by what we bake. Tell us when you order and we will tell you exactly what is in everything.
Do you do individually boxed meals?
Yes. Boxed lunches are labeled per person, which is what most offices want now.
Can I get an invoice instead of paying by card?
Yes. Offices and recurring orders can be invoiced. Ask Shannon when you place the order.
Can you do a standing weekly order?
Yes, and it is our favorite kind of order. We set the menu rotation with you once and it runs.
Do you make wedding cakes and dessert tables?
We build dessert tables, pastry displays, welcome bag items and late-night snacks. For a tiered wedding cake, talk to us early so we can tell you what we can do well.
Are welcome bag items individually wrapped?
Yes. Venues and hotels generally require it, so everything for a welcome bag comes wrapped and labeled.
How do I place the order?
Build it on this site and pay by card, and it is placed. Or send it as a request, or call the catering line at (214) 951-9077, and a person confirms it with you before anything is charged.
